I met four men at Kurokawa onsen. We began to talk about ancient history of Kyusyu.In the meantime, one man said to the others "I would like to show her that rock". "The rock ?" I asked.
"Yes, that is the very mysterious rock which is inscribed with the Sumerian".

| One of them is keeps Minsyuku (guest house) with a wonderful open air bath named "Takitubo-onsen" bside the fall. "Takitubo" is the basin of a waterfall in Japanese. I had enjoy the fall view and murmuring of a stream. |

| Next day they took me to the rock on the hill. We could look out over the outer rim of a great crater of Mt.Aso. They called the rock as "Oshito-no-ishi"."Oshito" means "Push (or open) the door" and "ishi" means "rock". The name of the rock was closely associated with Japanese mythology of "Ama-no-iwato". |

| The rock gave me quite a turn. The pyramidal rock, height is 5.3 meters and periments is 15.3 meters, is attennded by Cromlech (Stone-alignment) surrounded. Although I couldn't look for the Sumer, I felt the place is nearby the mysterious space, sky. I'm sure people could comunicated with the universe just here. |
| Although content of carbon gas in this spa is ranked heigher in the world, Nagayu onsen is not blessed with the location. Far from large cities such as Tokyo and Osaka, Nagayu was sleeped in dense mountains for long time like a "Hope" remained in the "Pandora's box". |

| In the middle of the river, there are carbonated hot spring gushing up like crabs forth at his mouth. "Kani-yu" (Kani means crab in Japanese) was named after the look of this. |

| "Takegawara onsen" is near by Beppu Bay. This traditional Japanese style public bathhouse is a symbol of Beppu onsen. There is a large hall with wooden floor between normal bath and sand bath. |

There are many kind of hot spring in Beppu onsen. Taxi driver recommended "Kannawa onsen" to me. As I felt the ingredient of mineral mud is little bit thick than "Suzume-no-yu", I took a fancy to both of them.
