It always begins to snow at this time of the year.
The cabin is cut off by snow throughout the winter. (from December till April)

The snow thaws at the end of March here.
But We have had a lot of snow this year (2000).

Onbashira Festival

"Onbashira Maturi" (Maturi means Fesstival in Japanese) hold every 6 years in Nagano Prefecture.People rebuild Suwa Grand Shrine with sacred pillars named "Onbashira". They drag down "Onbashira" from the forests to the Shrines.
