Beirut

Beirut, once it was called the Paris of the Middle East, suffered from 17-year civil war. Now the city center, war-ruined area, is under construction as "The new plan for downtown Beirut".

Byblos (Jbail)

One of the oldest town in the world of Byblos (Jbail), 36km north from Beirut, goes back at least 9000 years. In the 3rd millennium BC, it was the commercial and religious capital of the area and growing wealthy from the timber trade, cedar wood, with Egypt.

Byblos also gave its name to the "Bible" and the first linear alphabet was invented.

Beiteddine

The Palace of Beiteddine is 45km southeast from Beirut.

The Palace incorporates all the traditional forms of Lebanese architecture.

Tripoli is famous as the sweets capital of Lebanon.
